No more excuses...

Today’s optional prompt at Jana’s Thinking Place for the5-minute stream of consciousness was Comparisons/Competition.

I don’t usually read anyone else’s response until I’vewritten my own. But I was procrastinating because I didn’t want to get up andgo to church.

My first thought was about blogging, but the prompt response from The Destiny Manifest I read this morning summed it up so nicely; I couldn’t do a repeat. My secondthought was about WMs vs. SAHMs but I already wrote about that here – ANDbesides that… I’m just over both of those subjects. I am doing me the bestthat I can. No more excuses.

5 minutes of randomness…

So I already said that I didn’t want to go to church today. But none of my excuses were in my favor. It started with last night. My husbandwas out of town. So I said, I have the whole bed to myself; I’ll just sleep in.

I woke up like clockwork.

No fountain of youth yet.

No more crook in my neck from yesterday.

No rain yet.

No headache.

No cramps.

I feel fine.

I got up and stuck my head outside.

Not really that cold either.

Well alrighty then. I guess we’re going to church.

After all, yesterday I still woke up a 5:50 and dideverything I had intended to do and would have rain or shine. Despite the fact that it WAS cold, I didhave a crook in my neck, I was bloated and crampy.

But it was a wonderful day, andso was this morning.

Here’s the thing… this morning I ran out of excuses to not givetoday my best shot. I think those are words to live by. Don't you?

No more excuses.
