5 Minute Friday: Stretch

This is my first time participating in Five Minute Friday. The theme today is ‘Stretch’.

Ready set go!

I’m sitting here like a kid who has been told, “You have to get your homework done before you go outside.” Not that I want to go play or anything, but I have to exercise first. I’m sipping the last bit of my coffee try to get my body to cooperate with what my brain is actually on board for.

But guess what happened? I was standing up and bent over to put one sock on a got a back spasm. Really? So now I have to stretch before I put my socks on? Usually buzzing around the kitchen and putting dishes away to music is my warm up before the Insane workout my husband and I have been doing together.

When you get a back spasm from something as simple as putting a sock on it really makes you feel old. The last time it was legitimate. I was trying to reach for something when I really need to get a step ladder. The reach was out of my stretch zone and BAM ouch. Lightning strikes in my back and I need to stretch it out.
