Treat a blackhead, starve a pimple...
The worst acne I ever had was after I stopped using a product that I won’t defame here. It must work for somebody because it is still advertised. Now whenever I look into the starry sky to find the Big and Little dippers, I’m reminded that I could connect the same dots on my face. It was that awful.
My mom has beautiful skin. I have my daddy’s skin. Hey, I didn’t say he had bad skin, I just said I have his skin. He has pretty hair though and I have his hair too. Skin and hair genes go together I suppose. But that doesn’t explain why I have his feet. Overall I’ve benefited from the best genes from both of them so I really can’t complain.
I’ve tried some expensive skin care solutions which seemed pointless when I would still get pimples monthly and in between. I never had any major problems with my skin until I had Christopher. Both of us had a pimple on our left cheek when he was just two weeks old. I was thirty-five.
Okay so it wasn’t a horrendous pimple, I can barely see them in the original photo.
I’ve been using these two products since September, nothing more nothing less. I didn’t want to get excited about it until my skin had been through two seasons. We’ve had summer, fall and winter since September, so I think I’m good.
I use the Tea Tree Blackhead Exfoliating Wash during every shower and moisturize with the Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer afterwards. There is a whole “system” for both, but I had the Cetaphil first and intended to use it all before I tried anything else. The Tea Tree line is intriguing, but what I am doing is working just fine. Plus if you’re broke, don’t fix it. I mean if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
When I was home last my mom noticed that my skin was clearer. Then we all broke out from eating a chocolate hazelnut spread that I won’t defame here either. It sure was good though. I ate it a few more times just to make sure it wasn’t a coincidence. It wasn’t.
Here’s the thing... so my mom thinks my dad has nice feet. They’ve been married for forty-two years. Maybe when I’ve been married that long, my husband will think I have nice feet too. The homemade scrub I told you about is definitely a step in the right direction.
