5 Minutes: No sleep

What day is it again?

Oh it's Spring.

I'm squeezing in a stream of consciousness post before my day gets hopping.

Oh it's already been hopping.

Let's see we got home a little after 1 am from shooting a basketball tournament out of town.

I took a homemade cough suppressant, ate a donut and then jumped in the bed. It was 1:30 and I told Siri to wake me up at 6:00.

I got up about 45 minutes later because I couldn't sleep. I was more than 15 hours dirty so I got up to take a shower thinking that would relax me. I got back in the bed and counted back from 100 and don't remember what number I made it to.

My parents came in from out of town so we wouldn't have to take Christopher with us this weekend.

Cheers to awesome parents!

Last night mom sent me a text that Christopher was coughing and asked what could she give him. I told her to give him a teaspoon of the homemade stuff and have water ready because he was going to be dramatic.

She texted back saying she thought he was going to throw up.

So where was I?

Oh yeah, I counted back from 100 and then Christopher was standing by my bedside with a dry cough telling me that the stuff I told Mimi to give him made his throat burn.

It was 5:05.

Sigh with me.

So I've been up since then. It's 6:42. I've had some coffee blacker than night and another shower.

Papa Bear is still snoring and supposedly we are leaving in 15 minutes to head back for the second day of shooting.

This was my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…

  • Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
  • Write an intro to the post if you want but don’t edit the post. This is writing in the raw.
  • Publish it somewhere. Anywhere. The back door to your blog if you want. But make it accessible.
  • Link your new posts to All Things Fadra (feel free to use her SOC Sunday graphic).
