Another way to tell a story...
Tapestry! It's an iOS and Android app, where you can create a story and share the tapable version. I am hoping the app takes off and I am able to reach another community of readers.
Tech Bytes: 5 iOS 7 Tips that Made My Day
If you have an iPhone and upgraded your software last month, check out: 5 iOS 7 Tips that Made My Day. My biggest fan commented: "I saw the blurb for this post on Facebook & your tone was so giddy, I had to come check out the full post. YOU definitely need to make Tech Bytes a regular feature."
5 iOS 7 Tips that Made My Day
At first update glance I was kinda like WHOA that's BRIGHT. I couldn't find this or that, and after the oooh that's pretty wore off, I couldn't see what the big deal was until I started reading about the features.
There are a bunch of helpful tips and tricks for navigating through the new features of iOS 7. Reading #iOS7 on Twitter was helpful, but you have to read between a lot of complaints to get to the good stuff.
In this post I have compiled 5 things I consider to be the good stuff.
Guest Posting on Tech Bytes...
Is it still a guest post if I'm blogging on my own website on my own other blog? ...never mind.
Today I'm blogging over on the tech side of Here's the thing... I needed to brain dump my geek side.
Backgrounds and Buttons and Vectors - Oh my!
So if a tree falls...never mind.
It doesn't matter if no one hears me. I'm not here to solve tech problems. I just like to share stuff that I learned and hope that someone finds it just as useful. Today I am linking to posts and websites that help me create a blog grab button, select a background texture and allowed me to customize free vector images.
"Mom are you famous?
Today I've been featured in Kokoa - an online magazine that focuses on the REAL life of people - not the rich and famous. You can check out my interview by clicking here.
I would love for you to leave a comment there, especially if you've read the book.
Married at seventeen... Who does that?
Today my mom and dad celebrate their 43rd wedding anniversary. I can't tell you how thrilled I am to share that they are still hanging.
You know what they say about meeting a man at the club - well it was a basement party.
A reflection of the "shutdown"...
Last night I tried to stay up until midnight to see what the verdict was going to be regarding the government shutdown. My husband is retired military and that retiree paycheck is supposed to be a given. No matter what, on the 1st of the month we can top off our bank account.
Monday stream of consciousness...
Yesterday I was sitting in church thinking about changing the colors on my blog. Changing the colors here is a way of procrastinating and sometimes it can be a little destructive. But I haven't stopped thinking about it. I'm asking, "What do YOU think?"
Recap of last week... I am BLOOPED
Well last week was interesting. I had to be all competitive and finish something I hadn't planned to start. But it was all good - I did it and great things came out of it! I'm blogger-pooped though.
It was a great networking week. As Joi from RX Fitness Lady put it, "No conference, no money spent, just time and energy!"
Blog Challenge - Shout Outs
Today is the last day of the mini blog challenge. The prompt is "blog love" (post specific). I am breaking the rules on this one because I didn't do my homework and I am writing this at the crack of last minute. I do have some URL specific shout outs though...
How my family reacts to my blog...
This is day six of a mini blog challenge where we are prompted to write about how our family reacts to our blog. My mom and dad read it. I have a cousin who reads it, my brother and his wife will read it if I send them the link, and my husband reads it like never.
How does your family react to your blog?
A helpful list to get your man to do stuff...
This is day five of a mini blog challenge and we are prompted to write a helpful list. I am sharing a list that I wrote over a year ago. It still holds true, and it is a list that brings people to my blog everyday!
Throwback Thursday (10 years)
Today is day four of a mini blog challenge and we are throwing it back 10 years! I am throwing it back 10 years to the day!!!
What gadget were you using in 2003? I'm going on about this one like is was the best thing since peanut butter and jelly...
Checkmate: Starving to win...
Today is day three of a mini blog challenge where the theme is "humorous". I'm always amazed at how long my husband and son can go without eating when I'm not cooking anything. So today I am sharing a short story about winning a very important game that I call "hold out".
My CELLPHONE is better than yours...
Today is day two of a mini blog challenge where the prompt is to write something controversial. I don't even know if I can bring it. I don't do controversy. But I'm going to try...
My title is to the tune of the Milkshake song. Do you know it?
A Rookie Mistake...
This week I am participating in a mini blog challenge where Monday's prompt is a Blog Commercial or Confessions of A Blogger. I am throwing my link in the ring combining the prompt in a confessions of a first time author kind of way...
Awards & Challenges...
When I was a new blogger trying to figure out what to write about, I decided to give myself the Versatile Blogger Award. Then the awards really started pouring in. I mean like every other five months and I just couldn't keep up. So I wrote a prepared speech and sent a personal e-mail to the presenter sugar coating the "thanks but no thanks" and hoped I was forgiven.
"His mom had to pawn his Xbox so they could move!"
The story you are about to read is true; only a name has been changed to protect the innocent.
Self Inflicted PMS...
I'm supposed to write something intriguing here to make you want to read this post. Here's the thing... I am so beside Myself, ME can't think of a doggone thing. One of us needs to wave the white flag.
