Peppered with Wit...

I am a multi-tasking fool when it comes to cleaning. But give me more than one personal problem at a time and I feel like I’m drowning.

You know the saying, “When it rains, it pours?” This has just been one of those weeks.

As I whined about, when it rains, it pours, I also thought about the quote, “Don’t tell God how big your storm is. Tell the storm how big your God is.” Then I got on my knees and prayed for someone else. Someone was already praying for me.

This week I had a fleeting thought about what it would feel like to close my laptop, forget social media, writing in my blog, promoting my book and just live a nor...

That’s how the fleeting thought ended. That would just be crazy. That night I prayed for a bright spot.

Yesterday morning I received this email via the form submission - contact form on my website:

Kenya, Hello! I finished your book and wrote a review about it on my blog. I hope you don't mind, {...} The book was great, and I can't wait for the next edition to come out! You do good work (but I already knew that). :) -Rosey

Rosey is a newcomer to Here’s the thing. The first post she read was one of the Insanity posts and she kept coming back. Weeks after she read the links I shared to my Author Interview, she ordered a copy of The Christopher Chronicles. From  the moment she told me she had ordered the book and couldn’t wait to read it, I thought, “Gee I hope she isn’t disappointed.” I’ve read it so many times that I know it by heart. Recently I had started to wonder if it was really that good.

Last week Rosey commented on my post titled Waging War on Fear

Isn't it wonderful how God brings people into each others lives when they most need it, and in the way they need it? {...} That's how God works and how he uses awesome people who love him to help share the news.

Did she even know she was going to be doing this for me ten days later?

Rosey’s review was so on time. I enjoyed it so much that I’m planning to use this blurb on my next edition:

Lighthearted and easy to read, it is peppered with more than a modicum of wit, and I guarantee you're going to chuckle or even laugh out loud (more than once).

Rosey’s review was a surprise and a blessing. Because she told me she couldn’t wait for the next book, I pulled it out to look at it. You know what? I laughed out loud.

From Age 6 - Christopher was singing a song from children’s worship. “I am a C. I am a C-H-. I am a C-H-R-I-S-T-I-A-N. He asked, “Mom, what am I spelling?” I said, “Christian”. He asked, “Christian who?”

Here's the thing... I'm off to spin my wheels. I just need to keep moving. The effort is never in vain. Thanks Rosey!
