The cost of a mug shot...
I can’t believe how much it cost to get a passport. Geez. I guess the good news is that it doesn’t expire for a long time. But within that time, you might want to use it and get your monies worth.
So, we went to go apply for passports today. I’d been reminding Papa Bear that we needed to do this ever since we first planned our trip. I finally just let it go. If he wants to pay extra to rush them, then so be it. I stopped nagging.
Finally last week out of the blue he said he made an appointment for us to apply...
Kenya G. Johnson - Blogger EST. 2010
I'm linking up with Tuesday Ten where we are sharing the first ten post we wrote on our blogs.
My first ten posts on this website were written between June and October of 2010. Back then my URL was postconfidential(dot)blogspot(dot)com and my blog title was Sporadic Publication.
I signed my first post with my name backwards Aynek Noillag Nosnhoj.
I wrote in one ginormous paragraph and I had no readers. My mom and dad didn't even know about my blog.
So here we go.
Dem Dry Bones...
My back started hurting Sunday night. I've used the heating pad three times in the last 24 hours and have taken several showers to loosen up my joints.
Is my hip really responding to the weather?...
Guess WHO?
SEO won't give a crap about the WHO in my title, but WHO cares. I've got a little story to share with ya!
What is that SMELL?
I've been driving home from football practice with the car windows down, my trunk stinks and I know there's real dirt in the vacuum cleaner. Like real dirt dirt.
The Universal Man. Is it a thing?
My parents were here this weekend to see Christopher's first football game. My mom and I had already talked about what I needed to get from the grocery store. So the menu was set. No one was going to have to worry about going to the grocery store or wonder about what to eat. It really should be as simple as that.
Dear Tuesday: August 26, 2014 (Illustrated by Google Earth)
The one in which I talk about Hanx writer (again) and my first typewriter.
A Cookie Story... the melt in yo' mouth delicious kind
In this story I am going to tell you about some DEE-LISH Chocolate Cream Cheese Cookies. If you stick to the script they will be gone in one day. Not naming names, but some people have the nerve to try and modify the recipe and then complain about it. And then some people's people have the nerve to put their two cents in on the original recipe.
"If everything is so perfect, why am I so miserable?"
When my boys took their annual trip without me, I couldn't imagine that I'd be counting down the days until they came back, much less uttering the words "I'm bored." slap me
I had been so excited to be off the mom/wife clock that I forgot all about what I should/could do with the spare time. When I got back on Thursday and unpacked, I said, "Now what?"
I can't sleep under these conditions...
I can't sleep under any conditions that aren't perfect. Therefore I don't get much sleep. You know that terrible moment when tomorrow is here and you've been trying to go to sleep since yesterday? Been there, done that - wrote a story about it.
Write like no one is reading...
Earlier this week I participated in a 5 Question interview via Being A Wordsmith. I think there's no easier/honest way to write than to answer a few questions.
Towards the middle of the week blogger friend Kristi Campbell shared an article on Google+ titled, "A whisper of advice to an exhausted blogger, uninspired writer" and of course I clicked right over. The blogger's advice to "play and don't worry about an audience or stats" was something I needed to hear.
If I can just get on a roll again and write like no one is reading.
Where's Papa Bear?
I found this cute video yesterday of a Mama Bear rescuing her cub. After you watch the 44 second video, I've provided my own commentary of bear talk.
So I got a ticket. What's the lesson?
So today was the day. I went to court to settle an Armed Forces Traffic ticket. Just in case you missed it, there's a backstory.
