8 Great Reads on Kindle Unlimited -3rd Edition

Dear Book Readers,

I rarely write Amazon reviews for books because I’m not that great at it or maybe it’s because what I say in a review is more important to an author than any random item I buy off Amazon. So I tend to shy away from full on book reviews if I don’t feel like I’m going to write a review that will do the book justice. I just like to share books that I liked or loved. Along with the usual list, today I want to highlight one of the books and my review from Amazon because the author is one of my best friends.

All that is good

This story was powerful and the book itself was aesthetically beautiful. I finished it in two weekends and found it hard to put down. The author weaves in journal entries of memories from her childhood and marriage with the story of how she became so driven to complete higher education with a focal point of prayer and therapy explaining how she made it through. The book was written in the first person which made it more moving than if it had been told on her behalf. Parts of the story are very risky, and I admire the bravery of the author to share it all. It has made the story more personable, relatable, and authentic. Experiences make us who we are; sometimes they drive us to quit and sometimes they drive us to succeed. Both are demonstrated throughout the story and I found myself rooting for her to persevere, even though I assumed the outcome. It was a very inspiring read. I’d recommend this book first to rising seniors as the senior year of high school is sometimes a make-or-break year. It’s important for young women to see how important it is to take advantage of entering college right out of high school if they have been given that opportunity. I’d recommend this book to young mothers who may find themselves stuck in a day in and day out role of motherhood without realizing they can find a way to complete higher education if they so desire. This story would inspire all women to break out of any box that is holding them back, to have to the courage and will to get out of bad relationships, get therapy, go back to school, quit bad habits, pray, and read the Bible while journaling through it all.

Here’s a list of all the other books I’ve read and liked or loved since my last Kindle Reads post. There’s still an active Kindle Unlimited Deal so you can take advantage of this list right away if you don’t already have a subscription. Of course I purchased the hard copy of Dr. Goodloe’s book!
